Mwanamuziki Wyclef Jean miaka 40 ametangaza kupitia twitter kuwa ana mpango wa kukata rufaa dhidi ya hatua ya yeye kuondolewa kwenye harakati za kuwania kiti cha uraisi visiwani Haiti. Toka ijumaa iliyopita kamati ya uchaguzi nchini humo ilithibitisha kuwa Wyclef hana vigezo vya kuwa mgombea halali katika uchaguzi ujao visiwani humo baada ya kukosa uhalali wa kutoishi muda wote nchini humo katika kipindi cha miaka mitano iliyopita. Katika mtandao wa twitter, Jean alisema ”Tayari nimeshakutana na wanasheria wangu juu ya uamuzi wa kukata rufaa dhidi ya tume ya uchaguzi. Kila kitu kipo safi iliyobaki ni kuwa tunataka sheria ichukuwe mkondo wake.” |

WYCLEF JEAN TO FIGHT HAITI PRESIDENCY BAN The dancehall star Wyclef Jean has addressed via twitter that he plans to appeal his disqualification from the presidential race in Haiti. It was confirmed on Friday that the CEP, the country’s provisional electoral council, had rejected the former Fugees star’s bid to run for the office, but the 40-year-old took to the social networking website this morning to state his intention to fight the ban. “Tomorrow our lawyers are appealing the decision of the CEP,” Jean wrote.”We have met all the requirements set by the laws.
